NASSAU - Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, winding up meetings with her Caribbean Community counterparts, said Wednesday that Washington wants to deepen its relations with the region and help to stabilize chaotic Haiti.

The meetings Tuesday and Wednesday with Rice and 14 CARICOM foreign ministers included talks on disaster preparedness and U.S. criminal deportees, as well as ways to help Haiti's President-elect René Préval bring political and economic stability to his destitute nation.
