U.S. and Cuba close to reopening embassies

MIAMI — After months of negotiations, American and Cuban diplomats will meet in Washington on Thursday to try and finalize a deal to reopen embassies in each country's capital after 54 years of diplomatic isolation.
Symbolically, a final agreement means the American flag could soon rise along Havana's historic waterfront and Cuba's flag could be raised over their building 2 miles north of the White House.
