    A September 2011 poll of the opinions of Cuban-American in Miami-Dade regarding U.S. policy and the economic reforms in Cuba conducted by FIU.

    An October 2011 publication by Freedom House based on research conducted in June 2011, several months after the Sixth Communist Party Congress. Researchers conducted 190 in-depth interviews in six provinces in Cuba.

  • Bendixen and Associates Poll of Cuban-Americans on Travel and Remittances (April 2009)

    National telephone poll based on 400 interviews with Cuban and Cuban-American adults in FL, NJ and other states regarding attitudes toward President Obama's reforms of Travel and Remittance restrictions.
  • IRI Cuban Public Opinion Survery (Nov. 8-30, 2008)

    Public opinion survey conducted by the International Republic Institute between November 8-30, 2008 of 592 Cuban adults in 14 provinces.
  • 2008 Florida International University Cuba/US Transition Poll ( Dec 2008)

    This survey was done by the Institute for Public Opinion Research of Florida International University. 800 randomly selected Cuban-American respondents were polled in Miami-Dade County, Florida. 500 interviews were done to land-line phones and 300 to cell phones. The survey was done in Spanish and English with all bilingual interviewers. Interviews were completed on December 1, 2008. The margin of error for the overall poll is plus or minus 3.6%.
  • "Change in Cuba" a Qualitative Study by Freedomhome House (Sept. 2008)

    Change in Cuba: How Citizens View Their Country's Future.
  • IRI Cuban Public Opinion Survey (March-April 2008)

    From March 14-April 12, 2008 interviewers from other Latin American countries discreetly engaged Cubans in public areas with their questionnaires. A total of 587 Cuban adults were asked questions ranging from perspectives on the economy to the performance of the current Castro regime. The survey has a margin of error of +/- four percent, and a 95 percent level of confidence. The survey was conducted in all 14 Cuban provinces.
  • International Republican Institute (IRI) Poll on attitudes of Cuban citizens (2007)

    A survey conducted in Cuba for IRI indicates that nearly three-quarters of Cubans surveyed would like “to vote to decide who succeeds Fidel Castro” as President. The survey of 584 Cubans was conducted from September 5-October 4, 2007.

  • FIU Cuban Research Institute Public Opinion Poll (2007)

    This survey was done by the Institute for Public Opinion Research and the Cuban Research Institute of Florida International University. 1000 randomly selected Cuban-American respondents were polled in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Interviews were completed on March 26, 2007. The margin of error for the overall poll is plus or minus 3.2%. This is the eighth in the series of FIU/Cuba Polls conducted since 1991.
  • Gallup Poll on attitudes of Cuban Citizens (2006)

    A 2006 Gallup Poll of Cuba, conducted with 1,000 residents of Havana and Santiago, offers a rare look at the island's understudied population. The findings represent a fascinating portrayal of a populace living with the paradoxes of a communist regime. One of the most striking examples can be seen in the way Cuban respondents feel about the country's educational opportunities as opposed to its opportunities to attain fulfilling jobs.
  • Solidaridad Española con Cuba Poll Conducted inside Cuba (2005)

    An opinion poll conducted by the Spanish non-profit organization Solidaridad Española con Cuba inside Cuba in December of 2005. The poll measures Cuban's attitudes toward democracy, change, internal dissidents and general conditions on the island. It is the first public poll of its kind conducted successfully inside the island.
  • FIU Cuban Research Institute Public Opinion Poll (2004)

    As Cuba faces major potential changes in leadership, the hopes and concerns of Cubans living in South Florida may differ by age, time in the US, and family ties. Athough it was done two years ago, this poll is a detailed portrait of the feelings of the Cuban community in south Florida about change in Cuba.
  • FIU Cuban Research Institute Public Opinion Poll (2000)

    The poll is specifically designed to measure the attitudes of the Cuban-American community towards US/Cuba policy and how these attitudes have an impact on Greater Miami. As in the four previous polls, the researchers this year found a diversity of opinions on what policies would facilitate political changes on the island. Some long standing attitudes seem to have changed, while some new events have generated diverse responses from Cuban-Americans as well as the non-Cubans and national communities.
  • FIU Cuban Research Institute Public Opinion Poll (1997)

    This survey was conducted by the Institute for Public Opinion Research and the Cuban Research Institute of Florida International University. 1,201 randomly selected Cuban-American respondents were polled in Miami-Dade County and 606 in Broward. Interviews were completed on March 16, 2004. The margin of error for the overall poll is plus or minus 2.4%. This is the seventh in the series of FIU/Cuba Polls conducted since 1991.
